Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the presence of bubbles accurately without providing any additional part for detection and using any complicated means for observation of jetting state or the like by providing an electrode for detecting vibration on a vibrator in addition to the electrode for inputting an exciting power. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 8 is entirely provided on one side of an excitation piezo-electric vibrator 7 and bonded on a vibration plate 6 while an excitation input electrode 9 and a detection electrode 10 are formed on the other side thereof. An excitation circuit 11 is connected between the electrodes 9 and 8 while an output detection circuit 12 is provided between the electrodes 10 and 8. In operation, first, when a single pulse is inputted into an electrode 9 from the excitation circuit 11, a wave form least disturbed is provided to the output of the electrode 10 if without bubbles. If with bubbles, a signal which tends to cause a bounding or a leaking is outputted. Therefore, a filter or the like provided on an output detection circuit 12 discriminates frequency thereby determining the pressure of bubbles depending on the magnitude of residual signal.
