Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a titled device which performs optimum water purification treatment by determining the inflow rates of settling basins and outflow rates of filtering basins online and controlling the inflow rates and outflow rates respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A raw water flow rate 25 is measured with a flowmeter 2 provided to a raw water line 1 connected to a trough basin 4 and a water level 26 with a level gage 3 provided to the basin 4, respectively. Inflow rates 24, 27 of settling basins are measured with flowmeters 5, 13 provided respectively to the water ways between the basin 4 and two settling basins 7, 15 and water levels 31, 32 with level gages 8, 16 provided respectively to two filter channels 9, 17. Further, flow rates 35, 36 of purified water are measured with flowmeters 12, 20 provided to purified water ways 24 connected to two filter basins 10, 18, and similarly the flow rate 38 and level 37 of the distribution water of a storage basin 22 are meaured and are inputted to a flow rate balance controller 39. The controller 39 outputs opening and closing commands 30, 28 to the inflow valves 6, 14 of the basins 7, 15 in accordance with the results of these measurement and further outputs opening and closing commands 33, 34 to the outflow valves 11, 19 of the basins 10, 18, thereby controlling the balance of the flow rates in the water purification treatment.
