Abstract
PURPOSE:To make accurate measurement possible for any lens by making the states of light incident to a photodetector the same when a lens to be inspected is inserted and when not. CONSTITUTION:In the figure A, the light through a pinhole 1 passes through a stop 2, is reflected by a semitransparent mirror 3, and is directed to a concave reflecting mirror 4. The reflected light passes through the mirror 3 and the image of a stop 5 is formed. Next, a lens 10 to be inspected is inserted as shown in the figure B. At this time, the lens to be inspected is disposed in such a way that the pinhole 1 and the concave reflection mirror are made conjugate with respect to the lens to be inspected. The light of the pinhole 1 is imaged on a concave reflecting mirror 4 by the lens 10. The light thereof is reflected by the mirror 4, passes through the lens 10 then through the mirror 3 and images at the stop 5. If the quantity of light received in a photodetector 6 when the lens 10 is not inserted is defined as P1 and the quantity of light when it is inserted as P2, a transmittance T is obtained by the equation T=(P2/P1)<1/2>.
