Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the rotational frequency of starting from becoming too low and too high, by utilizing the charging and discharge of an operational capacitor to electronically detect the rotational frequency with high accuracy to cause ignition for rotational frequency. CONSTITUTION:An ignition time control circuit 13 comprises an ignition signal generation circuit and an engine's rotational frequency detection circuit (which are not shown in the drawing). A current inverse to the capacitor charging current of the capacitor charging coil 1 of a magneto is supplied as input power to the circuit 13 through a small resistance 11, a diode 5 and a capacitor 12. The rotational frequency detection circuit has an operational capacitor, the carging and discharge of which are controlled by a signal from a sensor 2 made of an electromagnetic pickup which detects the rotational frequency of the rotor of the magneto. When set rotational frequency is reached, the rotational frequency detection circuit sends an output to the ignition signal generation circuit so that the latter circuit produces a signal voltage to trigger a thyristor 7. Consequently, a main capacitor 8 is charged to apply a voltage to a spark plug 10.
