Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent emission of contaminating gas by coupling dust collector cylinders and connecting pipes in way configuration, impressing high voltage on electric discharge wires stretched inside the dust collector pipes, and by attracting thereby fine particles contained in the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Dust collector cylinders 1 and connecting pipes 2 are coupled in wavy configuration, where electric discharge wires 3 are stretched from the wall to wall inside the dust collector cylinders 1 at their hollow parts 1a. When a high- tension generator 8 impresses a high voltage on the discharge wires 3 through a high-tension cable 6, an intense electrostatic field is generated between the wires 3 and collector cylinders 1, and fine particles contained in the exhaust gas are attracted and attached to the inner wall of the collector cylinders 1. The clean and uncolored exhaust gas after removal of dusts is released out to the atmosphere through a gas release pipe 11.
