PURPOSE:To efficiently absorb the fluctuation in the rotational frequency and torque of an input side, by composing a clutch of a clutch mechanism and a viscous coupling and connecting the output part of the clutch mechancism to the output shaft of the clutch through the viscous coupling. CONSTITUTION:The inner edge of an annular elastic plate 7 whose peripheral edge is secured on a friction member 2 is secured on the flanges 11 of front and rear casing plates 8, 9 of input-side rotary member 10 of a viscous coupling A. Input-side rotary plates 19, 20 and output-side rotary plates 22, 23 are spline- coupled with the rear casing plate 9 and an output-side rotary member 13 in a viscous fluid chamber B defined by the casing plates 8, 9 and the peripheral surface of central large-diameter part of the output-side rotary member 13. Push balls 27 are supported in the slender guide holes 26 of a guide plate 25 and located between the input-side rotary plate 19 and the oblique part 8a of the front casing plate 8 so that the balls respond to the centrifugal force.
