Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten accuracy of ignition sequence control, by concentrating a multiple of laser oscillators, generating laser beams selectively and omnidirectionally controlling all the laser beams and iginiting electrically. CONSTITUTION:At least more than two optical resonators are provided around a laser medium 5-1. Q switches 5-5, 5-6 with application of electro-optic effect are provided in the optical resonator. The Q switches are controlled and the optical resonator is operated selectively. Each axis of the optical resonator in the laser oscillator is united to an optical axis of focus 6 mounted to a wall of combustion chamber in an internal combustion engine. The ignition is done by focusing the laser beam to a designated point of each combustion chamber.
