Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove highly viscous ink easily and to obtain a recording picture of good quality by providing a preliminary jet means for jetting ink from all ink protrusions or all ink nozzles besides a normal recording. CONSTITUTION:A protruberant magnet 3 magnetized in a thickness direction is bonded near the tip of a magnetic recording needle 1 bonded at an equal pitch on an insulating substrate 2 and the magnetic fluid 4 attached to this magnet 3 is supplied to the tip of the recording needle 1 to form a protrusion from attached fluid 4 on the tip of the recording needle 1. Then, a bias voltage 8 is applied between the protrusion at the tip of the recording needle 1 and an opposed electrode 7 placed at a fixed distance therefrom so that the side of the recording needle 1 takes a positive voltage and the side of the electrode 7 take a negative one.
