Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which little surffers from bleeding of a flame retarder during processing by heating or when the final molded article is in use, by blending a bromine-contg. org. flame retarder with polypropylene in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:40-90wt% brominated bisphenol ethyl ether oligomer of formulaI(wherein n is 1-10; m is 1-4) is blended with 60-10wt% mixture consisting of bis(2,3-dibromopropyl) ether of bis(4-hydroxy-bromophenyl)propane of formula II (wherein m is 1-4) and bis(2,3-dibromopropyl) ether of bis(4-hydroxybromophenyl) sulfone of formula III (wherein m is 1-4)[and/or tris-(2,3-dibromopropyl)isocyanurate]in a weight ratio of 7/3 or lower. The resulting mixture is mixed with polypropylene in such a proportion that the bromine content of the resulting compsn. is 1-30wt%.
