Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the AGC operation with high quality, by forming a control signal by providing a smoothing circuit for an output of a current source forming a current signal which is a difference between a current signal proportional to an AGC voltage and a reference DC current and forming a control signal. CONSTITUTION:When an AGC voltage VAGC applied to a differential transitor TRQ40 is equal to a reference voltage Vr applied to a TRQ41, a current I3 proportional to the voltage VACG and a reference current i2 is equal and a current signal difference I3-I2 is zero. When VAGC>Vr, since the I3 is greater than the I2 and the current I3-I2 is a charging current to a capacitor C104 of a smoothing circuit, the control voltage is increased. On the other hand, when VAGC<Vr, since the I3 is smaller than the I2 and the curent I3-I2 is a discharge current to the capacitor C104, the control voltage is lowered. In the AGC operation like this, the charge/discharge time constant to the capacitor C104 can be made equal. Thus, since the attack time and the recovery time are equal, the AGC operation with high quality can be realized.
