Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the clogging of the screens of a juicing machine and facilitate their cleaning by making the screen provided on the outside circumference of a rotary pressure squeezing screw rotatable and drivable and abutting scrapers on the outside surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Oranges having beforehand been peeled are supplied from a chute 12a through a hopper and a coarse crushing part into the supply part 14a side of a pressure squeezing screw 14. The coarsely crushed oranges are fed in an arrow (a) direction while being sandwiched and squeezed by pressure between the screw 14 and screens 19, 15 by the revolution of the screw 14. The produced juice drops into a juice receiver 20. At this time, the screen 15 is rotated in the direction opposite from that of the screw 14 by way of a pulley 16, and a belt 17, and the screen 19 is fixed to a machine frame 12. Since the scraper 25a or 26b is in contact with the outside surface of the screen 15, the fruit fibers on the outside surface are shorn off. Upon ending of the juicing work, the revolving screen can be cleaned by the water injected from an injection nozzle 24.
