Abstract

PURPOSE:To automate the measurement and shorten the time of measurement and at the same time eliminate error in reading by storing in memory outer circumferential position signal of a sensor that contacts the circumferential face of a cylindrical body to be measured at two points and angle signal of a rotating device and applying calculation to them. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 7 and 8 are arranged at two places of a cylindrical body 1 to be measured with their tip ends in contact with the periphery of the body 1. The object 1 starts rotating through a drive control circuit 16 and a driving section 17 by the signal from an input device 14, and the signal of rotated angle is sent from a rotation angle detection section 10 to a memory 12 through an A/D converter 20, input/output interface 15 and CPU13. When the object 1 rotates one rotation, it stops by the signal from the CPU13. The degree of being coaxial is automatically calculated from the center shaft of the object 1 and the center shaft of the rotating device 5 and the distance and angle of two contact points given by the signal values from the sensors 7 and 8, and this measurement gives no error in reading and it can be carried out in a short time.
