Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a titled compsn. of superior collapsing property by contg. an oligomer of an org. polyisocyanate compd., having 2 phenolic hydroxyl groups, and a phenolic compd. having 2 phenolic hydroxyl groups. CONSTITUTION:The following three components (a), (b), (c) are contained in a binder compsn. for molding sand for light alloys: The (a) is an org. polyisocyanate compd. for which aromatic polyisocyanate is particularly preferable. The (b) is an oligomer having 2 phenolic hydroxyl groups obtd. by the reaction of phenols and aldehydes, which is, for example, novolak type phenolic resins, resol type phenolic resins, etc. The (c) is phenolic compd. having 2 phenolic hydroxyl groups, which is, for example, resorcin, catechol, hydroquinone, etc.
