Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent short-circuiting of inflow sewage and to improve purification efficiency in a purification tank by providing flow transfer pipes on the tank wall sides opposite from the tank walls on the side provided with air diffusion pipes.
CONSTITUTION: Flow transfer pipes 7, 7', 7" are provided near the walls on the sides opposite from the sides provided with air diffusion pipes 4, 4', 4". Sewage enters the 1st aeration tank directly through the pipe 7, and treated water 5 flows cyclically in the arrow direction. Therefore, the sewage flows down, then flows upward through filter media 6, by which it is purified. On flowing-in of the sewage, the treated water 5 in the 1st aeration tank flows through the pipe 7' into the 2nd aeration tank 2, where it is treated in the same way.
