Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the first motor of an induction motor apparatus by suppressing the exciting current of the second motor which is flowed to the first motor during the cascaded operation and improving the power factor of the first motor, thereby improving the general power factor of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The stator 4 coil of the second motor 2 and a capacitor 13 are connected in parallel with the rotor 5 coil of the first motor 1. A delay current which is supplied to the second motor of a current which flows to the first motor leads by a capacitor 13 and is compensated, with the result that the effective current which flows through the first motor can be reduced.
