Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent exhaustion of detrimental exhaust air in such a way that after exhaust gas has been cooled, it is scaled off by means of an electrostatic filter, and purified exhaust gas is fed again to that internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust air from an engine comes through an exhaust manifold 2 into a cyclotron 3, particulate lot is collected by means of centrifugal force into a dust collecting box 4, and exhaust air which has been removed its particle is exhausted through the upper part in the center. The exhausted gas is properly cooled at the cooling fin part 5a, and further fed into an exhaust gas cooler 6. High voltage from a high voltage generator is applied to a needle electrode 6e, compressed air through a compressor 9 is blown at the tip of the electrode 6e, and it is cooled by making heat exchange between outer air temperatures by means of a heat pipe 6c. Completely cooled exhaust gas receives corona discharge due to high voltage through an ion generating dust collecting conduit 12, the exhaust gas is ionized, and after liberation of oxygen, it is returned to the suction system in the engine.
