Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent overcooling of an engine at its deceleration, in a water pump of separately driven control type, by anticipatively controlling the pump at speed reduction of the engine to a state of stopping the pump or decreasing its speed. CONSTITUTION:There are detected cooling water temperature of an engine by a water temperature sensor 14 and a deceleration condition by a deceleration sensor 15, respectively, and each detected signal is inputted to a control device 13. When the engine is decelerated, a detected signal from a rotary speed sensor 16 is fed to a waveform shaper circuit 19 and an integrating circuit 20, if output from the integrating circuit 20 is larger than output of a reference level setter circuit 21, a signal is outputted from a comparator circuit 22. The signal of the comparator circuit 22 is inputted to a logical circuit 23, inputted with a detected signal from the deceleration sensor 15, and an output signal of the circuit 23 is inputted to a correction circuit 24 to correct an output signal of an output current arithmetic circuit 18, connected to a temperature detector circuit 17, and speed of a motor 11 for a water pump is decreased by a current control circuit 25.
