Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent overheat of an engine due to its stop state immediately after running operation at a high speed, in a water pump of separately driven control type, by detecting the engine if operated or not and keeping the pump in operation for a prescribed time at a stop of the engine. CONSTITUTION:Temperature of cooling water in an engine is detected by a water temperature sensor 14, further a car speed is detected by a car speed sensor 15, and each detected signal is inputted to a control device 13. Here the engine is stopped immediately after high speed running operation, if its temperature rises, output voltage from a car speed detector circuit 20 becomes larger than the first reference voltage level of a reference car speed setter circuit 21, then a signal from the first comparator circuit 22 is outputted and inputted to a logical circuit 26 through the first timer 23. Then an engine stop signal from an ignition switch 29 and an output signal of the second comparator circuit 25, generated by output voltage of a temperature detector circuit 16, are inputted to the logical circuit 26, and a motor 11 for a water pump is continuously driven by the second timer 27.
