Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high inverter voltage with low secondary voltage by making the reactance relation of the coil of a transformer reflect on a control system. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 1 energized by a power source 1 is composed of a promary coil 3 and sscondary coils 41-4n divided into n segments. Further, the respective coils are connected to n pieces of converters 51-5n capable of being forwardly or reversely converted with thyristor bridges. The DC output terminals of the respective converters 51-5n are connected in series with each other, and are connected through a smoothing reactor 6 to a DC motor 7. The DC outputs are separately commutated to the secondary coils 41-4n of the transformer 2 to be controlled so that the commutation periods may not occur simultaneously.
