  • Exhaust Gas Treatment By Means Of Catalyst (AREA)

Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent poisening of a denitrating catalyst and to enhance durability thereof by a method wherein a waste combustion gas is passed through a soot removing catalytic filter at first to remove dust or oil mist and, after filtering, ammonia is injected into said gas to pass the same through the denitrating catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: In a catalytic denitrating method of the exhaust of a prime mover such as a boiler or a diesel engine, dry denitraion of an exhaust gas of a selective reducing catalytic system using ammonia injection is carried out and an ammonia gas C is injected into the exhaust gas at 300W400°C in an amount same to that of NOx and both of NOx and ammonia are chemically converted to nitrogen gas but, because this catalyst I is poisoned by dust and oil mist in the exhaust gas and the activity thereof is lost, a soot removing device A and a soot removing catalytic filter B therein removing dust and oil mist prior to injection of ammonia are placed and collection of dust or oil mist and removal of soot or oil components by the catalytic oxidation are carried out.
