Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a highly responsive control by a method wherein a speed detector output and a director output are used to compute the predetermined first and second shaft voltages for controlling induction motor speeds. CONSTITUTION:An adder 4 combines the output of a speed detector 2 and the output of a torque director 8, and the first voltage arithmetic unit 9 receives the output of the torque director 8 and the output of the adder 4 for the computation of the first shaft voltage and yields it. The second arithmetic unit 10, acting in response to the output of the torque director 8 and the output of the adder 4, computes the second shaft voltage and yields it. A power source 11, acting in response to the outputs of the first and second voltage arithmetic units 9 and 10, yields a primary voltage to be supplied to an induction motor 1.
