Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A long body 9 to be irradiated is moved along the line passing the focal points of a reflecting body 10 having a semicylindrical or parabolic concave surface made of a metallic material having an atomic number of above 70, such as Pb, Ta, Au or W and then the upper surface of the body 9 is irradiated with electron beams emitted from an electron beam irradiation apparatus 1 through an irradiation window 2 and a beam mask made of Al or Ti. At the same time, the side and lower surface of the body 9 is irradiated with electron beams reflected by the reflecting body 10.
