Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the heat accumulating and discharging reaction in liquid and gaseous form under a controlled vapor pressure of ZnCl2 by reacting ZnCl2 and NaCl or KCl mixture with NH3 gas so as to accumulate or discharge the heat.
CONSTITUTION: If a heat medium of a high temperature is supplied to a heat transmission pipe 5, the NH3 complex of the mixture of ZnCl2 and NaCl or KCl within a heat exchanger reactor 1 is thermally decomposed and the NH3 enters an NH3 holder 2 through a connecting pipe 3. When the thermal decomposition is finished, an opening-closing valve 4 is closed. In order to use the heat accumulated, the valve 4 is opened to lead the NH3 gas into the heat exchanger reactor 1. The mixture reacts with the NH3 gas to form the NH3 complex and discharges the reaction heat. Thus discharged heat is collected by the heat medium supplied to the heat transmission pipe 5.
