Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of times of keyward checking and retrieve a required keyword efficiently for a short period by estimating the frequency of appearance of the keyword constituting retrieval logic formula on a data file and retrieving the data on the basis of a keyword with the low frequency of appearance. CONSTITUTION:A retrieval logic formula specifying a required data is entered from an input part 11, the logic formula is scanned by a formula close inspection/expansion part 12 to check the format and convert it into a prescribed format and a general retrieval logic formula and an inspection command signal are applied to a controlling part 13. Plural data including keywords are filed in a data file 14 and the file 14 is retrieved by a retrieving part 15 under the control of the controlling part 13 to fetch the keywords. The forecast of the frequency of appearance of keywords on the file 14 is stored in a file 17, the keyword of the logic formula applied to the controlling part 13 is searched by a forecasting part 18 and data are retrieved on the basis of a keyword with the low frequency of appearance, reducing the number of times of keyword checking and retrieving the required keyword for a short period.
