Abstract

PURPOSE:To imrpove the ignition property by a constitution wherein thin films of fuel are formed at the upper opening of a fuel tank by feeding air from the lower part of the fuel tank and ignition is performed to the thin films by spark discharge at an ignition of the pilot burner of a combustor by spark discharge. CONSTITUTION:The convex thin film 2b of fuel 2 are formed protrudingly from the opening part 1a of the liqui fuel tank 1 in a large number of layers by feeding air through an air feed pipe 3 from the lower part of the tank 1. Ignition is tried by discharging sparks against said protruded convex thin films 2b of fuel 2. Said thin films 2b are broken by the sparks discharged. However the following thin films 2b coming up at successive intervals accomplish the ignition surely and easily. Owing to the constitution as described above, the ignition of even the alcohol-blended fuel, as well as of kerosene, at low temperature can be accomplished surely, resulting in improving the ignition property of the combustor.
