Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent liquid crystal from falling off from a holding tool as well as a bumping phenomenon, by sticking liquid crystal which contains no water to the holding tool by evacuating a vacuum device in the stage wherein the liquid crystal is stuck to the holding tool. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum device 9 wherein an empty cell 1, a boat 4 filled with an electrooptic material 3, and a holding tool 5 supported by the holder 6 are installed is evacuated, and the liquid crystal 3 in the boat 4 is placed in a bumping state to remove water. Then, the holding tool 5 is dipped in the liquid crystal 3 by lowering the holder 6 to stick a certain amount of the liquid crystal to the holding tool 5, and the liquid crystal is supplied to an injection opening 2.
