Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of relative humidity and dew condensation by forming, around humidity-sensitive electrode members, guard-ring electrodes for dew condensation detection and heating made of material having a resistance value required for heating, and by leading out lead terminals from the respective positions on diagonal lines of these electrodes and from the humidity- sensitive electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Both front and back surfaces of a sintered body 11 are coated round with metal paste or oxide paste and further the peripheral parts of the round-coated surfaces are coated circularly with resistor paste whose resistance is lower than that of the sintered body and which has a resistance value of about several ohms required for heating. Afterward, baking is applied and thus humidity-sensitive electrodes 12a, 12b and guard-ring electrodes 13a, 13b for dew condensation detection and heating are formed. From the respective positions on diagonal lines of the guard-ring electrodes 13a, 13b, lead terminals 14a-14d are led out respectively, and lead terminals 15a and 15b are led out from the humidity-sensitive electrodes 12a and 12b. By this constitution, relative humidity and dew condensation can be measured accurately.
