Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce NOX in exhaust gas in a full primary type combustion device for burning premixture gas of fuel and air on a combustion plate made of ceramic plate or the like by installing a porous member for carrying oxidized catalyst on the plate. CONSTITUTION:Combustion air is sucked as primary air by gas jet injected from a fuel nozzle 1, the mixture gas is supplied through a venturi mixture tube 2 to a burner body 3, and is injected from a ceramic plate combustion plate 4 having many pores, is ignited and then burnt. In such a device, a porous member 5 which is made of multilayer mesh or foamable metal is installed in contact with the plate 4. In this case, metal oxide having an ability of oxidizing CO into CO2 such as platinum, palladium or various metal oxides is used as a catalyst. In this manner, flame temperature is lowered, thereby reducing the NOX in the exhaust gas.
