Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation characteristics, by suppressing self-excited vibration of moving bed with squeeze damping effect of fluid film, in the case of moving bed equipment used for machine tools and measuring instruments and so forth. CONSTITUTION:Moving bed 28 is mounted on base 1 by static pressure guide means. Recess 27 filled with fluid 75 having required viscosity is provided in the base 1. Furthermore, projection 31 fitted loosely in the recess 27 is provided to moving bed 28, and film of fluid 75 is formed between moving bed 28 and base 1. Self-excited vibration of moving bed 28 is suppressed with squeeze damping effect of a film of the fluid 75. Static pressure gas guide bearing is formed by supplying compressed air from control throttle 49, 50, 51 between guide surface 3-8 of base 1 and receiver surface 32-37 of moving bed 28 facing the guide surface, and thus moving bed 28 can be supported statically in the base 1.
