Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of thermal stress in the spool of the subject rotor by a method wherein, when the spool with a superconductive field coil wound on is placed in the groove of a coil mounting shaft, a flexible material is inserted between the inner circumferential side of the circular section on the coil and the groove. CONSTITUTION:A race track-shaped superconductive field coil 3 is wound around the spool 16 and placed in the groove 2a provided on the coil mounting shaft 2. At that time, the flexible material 2c and a filler 2b are inserted between the spool 16, at the part corresponding to the circular section of the coil 3, and the groove 2a. As a result, even when thermal expansion and contraction are generated on the spool 16, they are absorbed by the above-mentioned materials, thereby enabling to prevent the generation of thermal stress in the spool.
