Abstract
PURPOSE:To read the color information at the reading point of an original reader which is used for a fascimile device, etc., by irradiating plural light sources having different wavelengths of light emission in time division corresponding to the reading speed. CONSTITUTION:The signals given from a ring counter 30 are extracted successively to signal lines 30a, 30b, 30c and 30d respectively in accordance with the reading speed to light up light emitting diodes (LED) 20a, 20b and 20c of red, yellow and green respectively that illuminate the different positions. The line 30d is fed back to the counter 30 and reset and at the same time drivesan original scan driving circuit. On the other hand, the signal given from a photoelectric transducer 22 is amplified 23 and binary coded 24 to be used for the clock input of shift registers 25a, 25b and 25c respectively. These shift registers consist of three bits each, and the different bit positions are connected to latch circuits 26a, 26b and 26c respectively. Thus the red, yellow and green signals on the same spot on an original are used for the output signal of each latch circuit.
