Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the capacity of a rotary anode X-ray tube to be increased, enhance the cooling efficiency, and enable constantly stable X-ray photographing to be carried out by installing a spraying cooling equipment, with which the highly heated part of a vacuum case is cooled by cooled oil sprayed from it, within a housing. CONSTITUTION:X rays are produced when high voltage is applied across a cathodic body 2 and an anodic target 5 and electron beams are discharged from the cathodic body 2 onto the anodic target 5. An insulating oil 14 fed from an oil cooling equipment 15 is sent through a tube 17 into an oil case 12, and is sprayed on a curved part 1c of a vacuum case 1 from spray holes 12b. Then, the oil 14 sprayed on the curved part 1c passes through a space 18 formed between the vacuum case 1 and a frame 10. As a result, since the cooled insulating oil 14 is directly sprayed from the spray holes 12b of the oil case 12 onto the surface of the curved part 1c heated to high temperature, extremely effective cooling can be expected.
