Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve rewriting of information at an arbitrary point of time, by establishing the information timing base point at each frame, through the re-recording of IBG as a data switching timing, for a frame including information signals to be recorded again. CONSTITUTION:A recording command signal is given to a switching timing circuit 9, and a data switching circuit 8 picks up a new sound signal in place of a reproduced output of the recording signal via a decoding circuit 6. A digital signal train with data replacement is introduced to an encoder circuit 10 and inputted to a buffer circuit 11 after frame sectioning processing at a prescribed data amount. Timing delay control is made for a signal to be recorded at the buffer circuit 11 and the signal is inputted to a modulation recording circuit 12. The signal to be recorded is controlled with the circuit 9 and applied to a recording head 13 and recorded again on the same recording position on a magnetic tape 1.
