Abstract
PURPOSE:To refine intended components on an industrial scale by the technique of a liquid chromatography by using a column which is <=5 ratio between its length and inside diameter and has plural pieces of injection ports. CONSTITUTION:Raw liquid is pumped 3 out from a tank 1 and eluate from a tank 2 at a constant flow rate, and the mixed liquids thereof are forcibly fed into a refining column 10 through a transport pipe 4, a branch joint 5, and branch pipes 6, 6', 6'' then through column injection ports 7, 7', 7''. The column 10 is <=5 ratio between its length and inside diameter and has plural pieces of injection ports. While the raw liquid repeats contacting with the packing material packed in the column in accordance with the flow of the eluate, it arrives at an outlet part, and is flowed into a transport pipe 14 through an outflow port 13. The intended components are separated in accordance with the principle of a liquid chromatography and are flowed out through the port 13. The components flowing in the pipe 14 are measured with a photometer 16, and when the fluid in the pipe 14 contains the intended components, it is conducted to a storage tank 18 by valve operation.
