Abstract

PURPOSE:To cope with frequent change of installation in a factory easily, by stopping a mobile body, when the outputs of a pair of photoelectric sensors of a running mobile body with reflected light from a pair of reflection plates provided to a prescribed positioning location are in equilibrium. CONSTITUTION:Photoelectric sensors 4a and 4b fitted to a running mobile body 1 are of reflection type and have a light emitting element and a photodetector. When the mobile body 1 runs along a reference path 3 and the sensor 4a approaching a mounting device 5 detects a reflection plate 4b, the running speed is transited to a deceleration mode. When the mobile body 1 gradually advances, the sensor 4a detects a reflecting plate 6a and the sensor 4b detects the reflecting plate 6b, a stop signal is transmitted from a control circuit 11, a driving motor 7 is stopped, a disc brake device 8 is energized to stop the mobile body 1. Thus, the mobile boby is positioned and stopped with good reproducibility and the frequenct change in the stop positions can easily be coped with the change in the fitting location of the reflecting plate only.
