Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform electrolytic polishing of the inside surface of a pipe to be polished efficiently by enclosing a plastic pipe having many through-holes with electrodes and moving this pipe in the pipe to be polished while circulating electrolytic polishing liquid in the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A PVC pipe of a diameter slightly smaller than the inside diameter of a pipe 1 to be electrolytically polished is used as a body 2, and many through-holes 4 are pierced on the outside circumferential surface of this body. Electrodes 5 woven of fine copper wires like a net are enclosed with non-woven "Tetron " fabrics 6 from both front and rear sides of the electrodes and these are formed to a cylindrical shape and this cylinder is put onto the above-mentioned body 2. The leakage of the electrolytic polishing liquid in the body 2 to the outside is suppressed by packings 9, 9a. A ⊖ electrode is connected to the electrodes 5 and a ⊕ electrode to the pipe 1, and electricity is conducted thereto. While the electrolytic polishing liquid is circulated through the pipes 11, 12, the electrolytic polishing device is moved, whereby the inside surface of the pipe 1 is electrolytically polished over the entire length.
