Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve exhaust characteristics operation performance, and fuel consumption etc. by controlling the quantity of assiste air in accordance with the state of engine operation in EFI which is equipped with air assist type fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION:Air-assist type solenoid-switch fuel injection valve 12 is equipped near suction port 4, and assist air is supplied to the fuel injection valve 12 through rube 13. The assist air is taken out through assist air intake 16 installed in the upstream of throttle valve 6. Electric air pump 14 is equipped in tube 13 and linear solenoid valve 15 is equipped bypassing the air pump 14. The opening area of the linear solenoid valve 15 is controlled according to the required conditions by water temperature sensor 7, throttle switch 17, and crank angle sensor 18.
