Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the measuring accuracy of the tire uniformity, by measuring the actual degree of deflection of a load wheel and multiplying this degree by the spring constant of the tire to calculate and compensate the error component caused by the deflection of the load wheel. CONSTITUTION:The output signals given from the upper and lower load cells 15 are added by an adder 21 via an amplifier 20 and then applied to an arithmetic circuit 24 through an LPF23. On the other hand, the output signal given from a deflection detector 16 for the radius direction of a load wheel 14 is also applied to the circuit 24 through an amplifier 25 and an LPF26. At the same time, the output signals of a position detector 17 for base point of rotation of the wheel 14, a pulse pickup 18 and a position detector 27 for the base point of rotation of a tire (a) are supplied respectively. The circuit 24 calculates and compensates the fluctuating force of the tire (a) in the radius direction from these input signals. Then the value P-P is calculated by a peak operator 29 and displayed on a display 30. In such a way, the measuring accuracy is increased for the tire uniformity.
