Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the hunting of a motor caused by the backlash of a gear by providing a nonlinear element at the output side of a speed controller to produce a current command value through the element in a device which drive a load coupled directly to a shaft and the gear. CONSTITUTION:In a motor driving system K which drives a load coupled through a gear, the instruction value of the rotating speed of the motor is applied to a speed controller 11, is controlled through a current controller 12, and a nonlinear element 19 is provided between the controllers 11 and 12. The element 11 may be formed of two diodes disposed in reverse polarity to each other and a resistor connected in parallel with the diodes. In the driving system K, an integrator 13 represents a motor, and the actual rotating speed is fed back to the input side of the controller 11. An integrating element 14 produces a signal representing the position of a tooth engaged with the gear, and an insensitive element 16 represents the backlash of the gear. The hunting of the motor can be prevented by suppressing the loop gain of the speed controlling system in the linear range of the element 19, namely in the outside of the backlash range of the gear.
