Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in engine output and an increase in fuel consumption rate by detecting with a sensor the temperature and vapor pressure of low temperature liquefied gas and a mixing ratio of two classes of hydrocarbon contained in the gas and by controlling the air fuel ratio of the mixed gas in response to the mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:A fuel port 17 is opened at a throttle of a venturi member 12. The flow rate of LPG supplied through a fuel inlet nozzle 10 is measured by a metering needle 18, and the LPG is sucked into the venturi member and then into a combustion chamber together with air flow. The metering needle 18 is longitudinally driven by a proportional solenoid 20. The temperature and vapor pressure of LPG detected by a temperature sensor 25 and a pressure sensor 26 of a tank 21 are transmitted into a control unit 24. Then, the mixing ratio of gas is detected, and the electric curent is supplied to a solenoid coil 21 in proportion to the mixing ratio while the metering needle 18 is maintained at a position where the exciting force of said coil is balanced with the force of spring 22, thereby controlling the supply volume of fuel.
