Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a screen in a short time, by a method wherein a film is formed with high-molecular plastic, having no photosensitivity, on a weaving material for a screen, with a metal having a high laser reflection factor is used, and is irradiated with laser. CONSTITUTION:A fabric 2, woven by a copper wire 1 having a high reflection factor for the wavelength of 10.6mum, is set at a metal screen frame 3. After the screen frame 3 is perfectly washed and degreased, it is firmly adhered using nylon 4, which is heated for fusion, to form a thin screen film 5. A mask forming data for printed wiring board is utilized, and XY table is moved by means of an NC device, and while inactive gas is blown on the screen film 4, the screen film is irradiated with CO2 laser. This enables selective removal of the nylon 4 covering a necessary part only, and a perforation 7 passing from the surface to the back is opened to finish a screen making. This eliminates the need for a conventional negative plate and facilitates the preservation of a blank screen.
