Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent double feeding of paper and enable sheets of paper to be transferred one by one by a very simple constitution, by arranging upper and lower rollers in a condition touching a paper transferring route and specifying the coefficient of friction between the surface of each roller and the paper. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower rollers 3, 4 are arranged as paper P is put between the rollers 3, 4 and the rollers 3, 4 touch at a point 2 of the transferring route 1 on which the paper P is transferred. Furthermore, the surface of the upper roller 3 is coated with a rubber material whose coefficient of friction with the paper P is far larger than the coefficient of friction between the sheets of the paper P, and the upper roller 3 is driven by a surface speed almost equal to the traveling speed of the paper P in the traveling direction of the paper P. On the other hand, the surface of the lower roller 4 is coated as the coefficient of friction between it and the paper P becomes larger than the coefficient of friction between the sheets of the paper P and smaller than the coefficient of friction between the upper roller 3 and the paper P mentioned above, and the lower roller 4 is driven slowly in the reverse direction to the traveling direction of the paper P. Furthermore, both rollers 3, 4 nip the paper P with a definite pressure by a pressure mechanism.
