Abstract

PURPOSE:To prove the contact of an end ring with a conductor in an induction motor by closing the end ring having a tapered circular-shaped outer periphery to close the direction of the taper toward an iron core. CONSTITUTION:A rotor I for an induction motor is formed by joining a conductor 2 inserted into an iron core slot 12 of a plurality of laminated iron cores 1 and an end ring 3 arranged at both ends of the core 1 in the laminating direction. The end ring 3 employs a tapered circular-shaped outer periphery by using the direction of the taper to close toward the core. The outer periphery of the end ring, the protruded part projected from the core of the conductor 3 and the contacting part are pressed from the radial direction of the end ring and are joined. As a result, a rotor for an induction motor which proves the contact of the end ring with the conductor and has high quality inexpensively can be obtained.
