Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the double length operation to perform a high-precision control operation in a high speed, by constituting a counter part with a higher- precision counter and a lower-precision counter and by giving data from either one of the counters to an operation control part as required. CONSTITUTION:A counter part is provided with a 16-bit higher-precision counter 11, to which an up signal 5 and a down signal 6 passing through a quadruple circuit 4 are inputted, and a 16-bit lower-precision counter 15 to which an up signal 13 and a down signal 14 passing through a once circuit 12 which increases the frequency of a pulse received by a pulse receiving circuit 3 to once are inputted. Data 16 and 17 from counters 11 and 15 are supplied to an operation control device 10. If high-precision data is required, data 16 from the counter 16 is applied to the control device 10; and if a very high precision is not required, data 17 from the counter 15 is applied to the control device 10, and thus, the double length operation is eliminated to perform a high-precision control operation in a high speed.
