The center part 18 of the rod which does not have so much influence on the face 17 to be slid with a piston pin and to the sectional secondary moment is integrally manufactured by means of a light alloy, fiber reinforcing resin is affixed on its outer surface in order to reinforce the small end part 13 and the rod part 14. The large end part 15 of the rod main body 11 and a cap part 12 to be fastened and fixed at the large end part 15 are integrated by means of the fiber reinforcing resin.
