Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of equipment by checking rush current to a step motor at the start or stop thereof through the variation of the voltage applied on the motor at that time according to changes in the frequency of the voltage. CONSTITUTION:Output frequency signals of a V/F converter 14 for converting a signal proportional to the DC output of a frequency reference circuit 13 is input into a frequency control circuit 15 to control the oscillation frequency of an inverter 11 thereby regulating the revolution of a step motor 5. On the other hand, an inverter voltage is compared with an output signal of a V/F conversion circuit 16 as the reference signal to control the inverter output voltage and the deviation signal is input into a converter control circuit 17 to control the output of a converter 9 according to output signals of the control circuit 17. This enables the checking of a rush current at the start or stop of the step motor by controlling the inverter voltage according to the frequency of the inverter thereby reducing equipment costs with a less capacity of the power source.
