Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance filtering capacity by a method wherein, by using a sewage purification apparatus for carrying out activated sludge treatment, concentrated excessive sludge is re-aerated and, after said sludge is dehydrated, activity of aerobic bacterial cell is restored to reorganize floc in a coarse coagulation.
CONSTITUTION: Raw sewage is succeedingly passed through a sand precipitation basin 1, a primary precipitation basin and an aeration tank 3 to be purified and reached to a final precipitation basin 4 to precipitate a solid substance therein and supernatant water is discharged as treated water. After the aforementioned solid substance is concentrated in a concentration tank, it is sent to a re-aeration tank 6 and the sludge of which activity is restored forms floc again and is grown into coarse floc. The coarse sludge is sent to a chemicals pouring and mixing tank 7 and further mixed with a coagulant 8 by a stirrer to further grow particle bond and, thereafter, solid-liquid separation is carried out by a dehydrator 9. A blower 10 for sending air to the aeration tank 3 and the re-aeration tank 6 may be used in common or independently and separately.
