Abstract
PURPOSE:To fix the number of the faulty repeaters to just one, by packaging both a photoelectric transducer system and an electrooptical transducer system provided in a repeater housing into a cable detaining part. CONSTITUTION:Both a photoelectric transducer 7 and an electrooptical transducer 8 are packaged into a cable detaining part 2. As a result, an electric tail cable 9 passes through a gimbal 3 and this feed-through is identical with an electric feed-through 6. Accordingly the point where the signal is folded by a fault monitor control signal is set right inside of an input/output point feed- through 6 of a repeater housing 4 and thus substantially coincident with the gimbal 3, i.e. the separating point for repairs. Thus the useless exchange can be avoided for a faultless repeater. In such way, the number of faulty repeaters can be fixed to just one.
