Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the low-power drive and a low loss of the optical connection, by forming a driving iron core with a semihard magnetic matter at a cross point and at the same time forming an optical path converting prism in a body with a holding bar/mobile spring and a common supporting plate. CONSTITUTION:A latching type iron core 1 made of a semihard magnetic matter, an optical path converting prism 2 made of a pentagonal prism, etc. are stuck in a body to a mobile spring 4-2 by means of a mobile prism holding bar 3 and fixed at an edge of a supporting plate 5-2. Then a condenser lens 8, an optical fiber receptacle 10, a winding spool 13 plus row and column windings 14 and 15 are added. The electric conduction is applied to specific row and column windings to energize the corresponding iron core. Thus the bar 3 at the cross point is sucked toward the iron core to close the magnetic path. And the incident light given from the receptacle turns its direction by 90 deg. through the prism 2.
