Abstract

PURPOSE: To make unnecessary an atomizing nozzle and the like and to make humidifying capability stable and readily variable in several stages by a method wherein a plurality of gas-liquid contact units filled with fillers are arranged in such a way that water feed pipes and water feed controllers are connected to said units.
CONSTITUTION: A humidifying water tank 31 is provided in the lower part of an air conditioner and the humidifying water is supplied to water sprinkling veasels 35 via a filter 32, a humidifying pump 33, and solenoid valves 34 for controlling humidification. The water is allowed to flow into gas-liquid contact units 36A filled with fillers 36. In the system thus constructed, the solenoid valves 34 are controlled by converting a humidifying signal detected by a humidity detector 38 into a regulating signal by means of a humidity regulator 39. Consequently, the water is supplied to the water sprinking vessels 35 and then the gas-liquid contact units 36A filled with fillers through the opened solenoid valves 34 whereby gas-liquid contact is established so that the air is made humidified. Thus an atomizing nozzle becomes unnecessary, whereas humidifying capability is readily made variable by changing the number of the opened solenoid valves 34.
